Rice Hulls

Rice Hulls

The outer covering of the rice kernel, sometimes called the husk. Rice hulls have virtually no nutritional value but when ground, they can be used as a filler for livestock feed. Ground Hulls are also used as fuel to generate power for industrial plants. Unground hulls are popular for use in poultry houses for bedding, in potting soil mixes and as landscape mulch.
